___________the first seagull’s screed
___________a breath
_____________________this far inland

and you don’t have to look
_______________________up to see
the sky is gray and gray and white and gray and

I love writing small stones.

    very cool…there is something very meditative to this verse to me…think i will read it again…

      Thanks, Brian. I put it together after spending a few days of glorious weather mostly inside at a conference, only to have the weather turn on the final evening. (The rain actually held off for most of the following day, however.)

    smiles….ouch on staying indoors….during nice weather…no fun…

    on your question…flow-ing vs.flowing…for me it has to do with the sound of the word…and how you pronounce it versus how it looks on the page…it is where i would pause in reading it to give it texture….i dunno, experimentation…smiles.
